xPlatform — 7 000 tps Transaction System

Playson's legacy transaction infrastructure couldn't scale to meet demand from fast-growing operator integrations. Sergii stepped in as Product Owner for the xPlatform programme — a greenfield high-throughput transaction system targeting 7 000 transactions per second.

The role required coordinating 4 engineering squads, aligning with compliance, QA, and DevOps, and keeping the delivery on track across concurrent regulatory markets. The platform shipped on schedule and became the backbone of Playson's B2B infrastructure.

Legacy system could not support growing operator transaction volumes

• Four squads with overlapping scope and no shared delivery cadence
• Regulatory constraints across multiple EU markets added delivery complexity
• Stakeholder alignment between product, compliance, and engineering

Defined the xPlatform product vision and broke it into phased deliverables across 4 squads. Established shared Definition of Done, cross-squad planning sessions, and a single backlog owned at programme level. Worked directly with compliance and DevOps to eliminate blockers early. Delivered at 7 000 tps with full audit trail and regulatory compliance.
